Schenectady, NY – Fortitech, Inc., the world leader in the development and manufacture of custom nutrient premixes for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, has completed construction of its new 48,000 square foot distribution center in Glenville, NY. The facility is located on 23 acres of land and is part of Schenectady County’s new Airport Business Park. The distribution center is part of Fortitech’s $40 million global expansion to strengthen customer service, client relations, and manufacturing/testing capabilities.

Schenectady County’s Metroplex Development Authority provided funding to construct a new access road to the Airport Business Park to service Fortitech and other future tenants.
Prior to opening the new facility, distribution services for Fortitech were coordinated through leased warehouse space in Albany, NY. Those operations, and the personnel supporting them, have transitioned to Glenville. Additionally, the company recently expanded its world headquarters, located in Schenectady’s Riverside Technology Park, to accommodate increased production, office and warehouse space, bringing the total square footage of that location to 130,000. Now, with the exception of the company’s 58,000-square-foot plant located in Ontario, Canada, all North America Fortitech operations will be managed out of Schenectady County.
