Long Pond Village Pays PILOT

September 28, 2010

Rotterdam, N.Y., September 28, 2010 — The Town of Rotterdam Industrial Development Agency (IDA) today announced that Long Pond Village LLC has paid all outstanding PILOT (payment in lieu of tax) payments due to Schenectady County, the Town of Rotterdam and the Schalmont School District.

In total, Long Pond Village LLC made PILOT and special district tax payments this week totaling $244,788 including interest and penalties. The payments are in full compliance with an agreement reached with the IDA earlier this year.

“The IDA is pleased that all PILOT payments have been received. Our agreement to extend the PILOT due date resulted in the taxpayers of Rotterdam receiving 100% of back payments owed plus penalties and interest of $32,343,” said Robert Mallozzi, Chair of the IDA.

The owners of Long Pond also announced that they have been working with Sunrise Management & Consulting to increase occupancy and provide a solid customer service program for Long Pond residents.

Currently, the property is 80% leased. The owners expect to approach full occupancy in the next few months. The complex features 192 units plus pool, clubhouse and fitness facilities.
