“Congratulations to our economic development team for their continued success in bringing new businesses and investment to the County,” said Anthony Jasenski, Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature. “We want to express our gratitude to the MTX Group for choosing Schenectady County as the site of their Excelsior Region office and look forward to having them be part of our community.”

“We welcome MTX Group and we thank Metroplex and the Galesi Group for bringing this technology company and good paying jobs to Schenectady,” said Mayor Gary McCarthy.

Metroplex Chair Ray Gillen said, “MTX Group is a great addition to Schenectady County. This firm has an outstanding reputation for helping businesses and government agencies manage data to produce real results for their clients at a time when data is the linchpin to technology solutions.”

“MTX Group is committed to creating hi-tech employment opportunities and bringing domain expertise and solutions in government, healthcare, financial services, and higher education. In collaboration with our clients, we will work towards economic growth and digital transformation throughout the state. MTX is set to lease approximately 9,000 SF of space at 400 State Street, which is owned by the Galesi Group. Along with MTX, mavQ, a company focused on implementing artificial intelligence based solutions, will co-occupy the office space. Initially, this initiative will bring 25 jobs to the downtown area, with future growth potential of up to 50 jobs.

The Metroplex Board approved a $100,000 grant that will be used to support the move to 400 State Street.

Following renovations to the office space, the company plans occupancy in Spring of 2024.
