Schenectady County to Demolish Notorious Crane Street Buildings Taking Next Step in Building a New Mont Pleasant Branch Library and Literacy Center

(Schenectady, NY)  Schenectady County Legislators will be joined by members of the Schenectady County Public Library Board of Trustees, and community members for the demolition of the former Chubby’s Pizza (1032 Crane Street) adjacent to the current Mont Pleasant Library Branch on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00am as the next step in building a new Mont Pleasant Branch Library and Literacy Center.    

The County previously announced that a new facility would be built on the site and would emulate the Bornt Branch Library and Literacy Center built last year on State Street.

County leadership will be available for stand-ups between 11:00am and 11:30am immediately after the demolition.
