New Manufacturing Building at Duanesburg Airport

Schenectady, N.Y. — The Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority today announced that HP-You, a manufacturer of hydraulic systems will relocate to the Town of Duanesburg.

HP-You designs and builds computer-controlled hydraulics systems.  The company specializes in building smart hydraulic power units that are energy efficient and require less maintenance.

Patrick Waltz, Chief Operations Manager, said, “We are very excited for the opportunity to bring our business to the Town of Duanesburg.  We believe that our project is a good fit for the Town and we look forward to operating at the Airport site.”

Anthony Jasenski, Chairman of the Schenectady County Legislature said, “We are pleased to see this smart growth development at the Duanesburg Airport and we welcome this growing small business to Schenectady County.”

A new 3,120 square foot facility will be built at the site. All local approvals are in place and Metroplex is providing a $30,000 grant toward construction costs. The project will create 6 jobs at the new location.   Located just 1.2 miles from I-88, the Duanesburg Airport site is now seeking additional business tenants.
