Statement by Denise Zieske, Vice President for Workforce Development and Community Education,
Schenectady County Community College (SCCC)
on Start-Up NY Schenectady Results

“SCCC has worked closely with Metroplex and the New York BizLab to recruit four new companies to downtown Schenectady using the Start-Up NY Program.  This has helped us to fill a 26,000-square-foot building on lower State Street that was mostly vacant. It is now occupied by tech companies that add to the vibrancy of our revitalized downtown.

In addition to the four companies already announced, we have a number of applications pending and we expect to be announcing additional Start-UP New York companies moving to Schenectady this summer.
